Life Skills Hacks
The KCMO Life Spark Series: A Neuro-Inclusive Survival Guide
A 9-Week Life Skills Curriculum meeting twice a week. Built for Neuro-LGBTQIA+ Adults (18–34) in Kansas City who are ready to build a life that actually fits their brain.
Sensory Friendly Space
Remodeled for Regulation
We are currently remodeling our group environment to ensure it is 100% sensory-safe. No harsh lights, no overwhelming echoes.
- Adjustable, warm-spectrum lighting
- Designated decompression zones
- Low-stimulation acoustics
The Zero-Masking Rule
Whether you pace, fidget, use AAC, or need to sit on the floor—you are welcome. We don't teach you how to "act normal." We teach you how to survive and thrive as yourself.
The Curriculum
Authored by Mx. Phoenix Woody, this 9-week intensive focuses on the practical "How-To" of adulthood that school often skips for neurodivergent folks.
Foundation & Identity
Ditching the shame and understanding how your specific "Tism" or brain-type interacts with the world.
The Adulting Hacks
Executive function tools for laundry, meals, money, and employment that don't rely on "just trying harder."
Thrive & Advocate
Navigating KCMO systems, medical advocacy, and finding your permanent "Life Spark" community.
Is this for me?
Any "Tism"
Autistic, ADHD, AuADHD, or any neuro-variant. Formal diagnosis is never required—if the curriculum speaks to you, you belong.
LGBTQIA+
Specifically centered on the Queer and Trans experience in Kansas City. A place where you don't have to explain your identity.
KCMO Local
Designed for young adults (18–34) who are ready to build a life right here in the Kansas City metro area.
